We talked about the station to the airport, because we’re targeting it to finish next year
“We talked about the station to the airport, because we’re targeting it to finish next year,” told Jokowi after the meeting.
The station Jokowi meant is the Dukuh Atas Station which located in front of Shangri-La Hotel, Central Jakarta. Later, this station will be integrated with Sudirman Station near it. The construction of Dukuh Atas Station will include road widening project. Thus, PT KAI needs to cooperate with Jakarta Provincial Government as the landowner.
Integrated Transportation Terminal to Provide Thousands of Job Opportunities“He (Jonan) came here to ask for permit to build station and widen road,” told Jokowi.
Meanwhile, Ignasius Jonan admitted that the meeting was only discussing about PT KAI’s plan to build railways to the airport.
“Jakarta wants to widen Jalan Teluk Betung. Later, one of the (railways) stations will be located in front of Shangri-La Hotel. So, we’re matching it, how many meters Jakarta would widen the road and what the station would be like,” he uttered.
The railways to Soekarno-Hatta Airport is planned to pass several stations, namely Manggarai, Sudirman Baru, Duri, and Batu Ceper. The meeting was also attended by Vice Governor Basuki T Purnama and some related departments.
