Pluit Residents Trained to Handle Fire

Today, fire handling training is given to 40 residents in fishermen village of Muara Angke, RW 22 Pluit Urban Village, Penjaringan, North Jakarta.

We hope this training can make the locals become well informed about fire and how to handle it

North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-department Head, Satriadi Gunawan conveyed, this training is participated by residents, RT/RW administrators, and PKK cadres.

Fire Socialization and Simulation Given to Sebira Island Residents

"We hope this training can make the locals become well informed about fire and how to handle it. Thus loss due to fire can be minimized and hopefully fire incident could be prevented," he asserted, Monday (6/24).

In this training, residents are taught how to extinguish fire on gas stove using small fire extinguisher and wet sack.

Pluit Urban Village RT 10 RW 22 Head, Muhadi feels grateful since residents in his settlement can get fire handling training. Because almost all houses in RW 22 settlement are semi-permanent buildings.

"This training makes us become more alert and prepare when fire happens," he said.
