Jakartans, Be Prepared for Jakarnaval 2019!

This Sunday (6/30), Jakarta Government will hold Jakarnaval 2019 from 3 PM to 5.30 PM. It uses the same theme as Jakarta's 492nd Anniversary, the 'New Face of Jakarta'. This spectacular event will be enlivened with ornamental cars parade, modern parade, and cultural parade.

"Jakarnaval's main stage will be installed in front of Jakarta City Hall," informed Jakarta Tourism and Culture Department Head, Edy Junaedi, Friday (6/28).

FSTJ to Hold Jakarnaval on June 30

5,000 participants will be involved in the cultural parade which shows various cultures from other countries. His side also decorates 25 Transjakarta double-decker buses to enliven the parade.

According to plan, Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan will send off the parade participants from the main stage or in front of City Hall, then parade will continue to Jalan MH. Thamrin, MH. Thamrin's clock monument to turn to Monas.

While the ornamental cars parade also starts from the main stage into Jalan MH. Thamrin, and ends at Bundaran HI.

"Feel free to come and join this event. It is free of charge. We invites local residents, students, art workers, and communities to be the participants," he expressed.

Visitors who want to go to the location using public transportation can get off at City Hall stop. Those who use commuter line can get off at Gondangdia Station and walk to City Hall. While for MRT users, can get off at Bundaran HI station.

"People can also enjoy the parade along Jalan MH. Thamrin," he added.

After Jakarnaval, his side will continue entertaining the visitors at Monas with performance from  Krisdayanti, Iwa K., Ada Band, Irma Darmawangsa, and 3 Srigala starting 7 PM.

"We want to show the people that Jakarta also has spectacular carnival like the other big cities in the world. Jakarnaval is hoped to entertain Jakartans as well as local and foreign tourists," he conveyed.
