North Jakarta Wins Jakarnaval 2019 Parade Floats Competition

North Jakarta Mayor, Syamsuddin Lologau appreciates parade floats which represent North Jakarta for winning two different categories in Jakarnaval 2019 parade held on Sunday (6/30).
We use 'The New Face of Jakarta' theme for those floats' design
These parade floats are owned by North Jakarta Government and Indonesia Port Container (IPC)-Pelindo under North Jakarta Tourism and Culture Sub-department (Sudinparbud).

Meanwhile, North Jakarta Sudinparbud Head, Rus Suharto explained, North Jakarta's parade float won the parade float with best attraction category and IPC-Pelindo's parade float won the most futuristic and innovative parade float category.
"We use 'The New Face of Jakarta' theme for those floats' design," he added.
North Jakarta's parade float uses six-wheeled car and decorated with ornaments that represent Jakarta International Stadium (JIS). Its front side is decorated with North Jakarta's icon, the Mastwood Tree and Kingfisher Bird icon and beautified with Marunda Batik pattern that represents the characteristic of North Jakarta.
Besides, there are Keroncong Tugu performance above the parade float, Abang None, host, and three Betawi dancers with colorful Betawi sadariah clothes which represent ethnic groups that form a harmonious life in North Jakarta.
"We also invite famous Betawi artist, Mpok Tonah to join the float," he conveyed.
Parade float owned by IPC-Pelindo is designed like a ship with ornaments that identical to port. There are also Abang None on the float together with ship captain and the crews who dressed in sailor uniforms.
