Government Signs MoU to Provide Product Certification Service in Jakarta

In order to provide product certification service in the city, Jakarta Government cooperates with 13 Product Certification Bodies (LSPro)s through Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that was signed by Jakarta Secretary, Saefullah and 13 President Directors of LSPros at City Hall, Monday (7/1).

It is done to ensure consumer satisfaction towards products quality

Saefullah said that currently government has owned laboratory and product certification service managed under Jakarta Industry and Energy (PE) Department. Those facilities have received accreditation from National Accreditation Committee (KAN).

"It is done to ensure consumer satisfaction towards products quality through product certification," he conveyed.

Industry Ministry's Industrial Certification Center (BSI) Head, Anto Girsang expects this cooperation to enhance products quality in Jakarta by Implementing product certification through the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) marking.

"We hope our efforts through this MoU can be applied well," he expressed.

Here are the 13 LSPros that cooperate with Jakarta Government:

1. Industrial Certification Center (BSI), Industry Ministry.

2. Certification Center, Trade Ministry.

3. Baristand Industri Surabaya, Industry Ministry.

4. Baristand Industri Medan, Industry Ministry.

5. Chempack (Center for Chemistry and Packaging), Industry Ministry.

6. Polymer Technology Center, Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT).

7. SUCOFINDO.

8. PT. TUV Rheiland Indonesia.

9. PT. Integrita Global Sertifikasi.

10. Ceprindo.

11. PT. Tiga Mitra Selaras.

12. Center for Ceramics, Industry Ministry.

13. PT. Lukita Jaya Mandiri.
