The Thousand Islands Environment Sub-agency is holding an anti-littering act operation (OTT) at Tidung Islands Pier, South Thousand Islands.
OTT Operation Carried Out at Kelapa Island's Main PortIt is a form of enforcement of Bylaw No. 3/2013 concerning Waste Management and Bylaw No. 8/2007 concerning Public Order.
"During the operation, we don't smell people who litter. Hopefully this awareness will be maintained by locals and tourists," said Community Role and Arrangement Section Head, Ardian Prahara, Friday (7/5).
Nevertheless, OTT socialization continues to be intensified through banners in strategic places.
"We deploy 15 officers to the field. They consist of Environment Agency and Sub-agency, as well as Satpol PP assisted by the police and army," he told.
