OTT Operation Carried Out at Kelapa Island's Main Port

Thousand Islands Environment (LH) Sub-department held anti-littering act (OTT) operation in Kelapa Island's main port, Kelapa Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands Sub-district.

Cleanliness is an important factor that supports the tourism sector

Thousand Islands LH Sub-department's Community Participation and Legal Arrangement Section Head, Ardian Prahara mentioned, OTT operation was conducted to enforce the Regional Regulation (Perda) No. 3/2013 about Waste Management and Perda No. 8/2007 about Public Order.

"We want to educate them about this law and provide deterrent effect for those who violate the regulation by carrying out OTT operation," he stated, Thursday (4/4).

15 personnel were deployed from Thousand Island Satpol PP and LH Sub-department. There was one person caught for littering and fined Rp 100 thousand in this operation.

His side is committed to intensify OTT operation in Thousand Island to ensure this popular tourist destination to be always clean.

"Cleanliness is an important factor that supports the tourism sector," he asserted.
