PD. PAL Builds Centralized Sewage Piping Network on Jalan Gatot Subroto

PD. PAL Jaya builds centralized sewage piping network system in zero zone located along Jalan Gatot Subroto, South Jakarta. This construction is planned to finish in November 2019.

We need it to develop the piping network service area

PD. PAL Jaya Commitment Making Officer (PPK), Hadman Situmorang stated this construction is done by third party and monitored by Jakarta High Prosecutor's Security Team for Government and Regional Development (TP4D).

For information, this construction is done to apply Jakarta Governor's Decision (Kepgub) No. 45/1992 which regulates every building that is passed by the pipeline must dispose its wastewater into a system built by the government.

"We need it to develop the piping network service area. Later, domestic wastewater from buildings in Jakarta should be connected to this centralized sewage piping network," he explained, Thursday (7/11).

His side will use micro tunneling technology to build piping network by creating tunnel pit and placing drilling machine on the location thus his side can install pipe underground.

"Construction can't be done openly because it is located in the middle of the city and beside the main road. So, we need to use drilling machine. We will build 2,018 meters in south and 1,780 meters in north," he added.

Regarding this construction, his side has asked utility cable owners under Jalan Gatot Subroto to accompany his side when doing excavation.

"There are many utility cables under Jalan Gatot Subroto. Moreover this excavation will pass several foreign embassy offices thus we need to socialize it to them and other utility cable owners," he asserted.
