150 Officers Prepared to Monitor Qurban Animals

As many as 150 joint officers of South Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-agency, Indonesian Association of Veterinarians and students from Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Bogor Agricultural University will be involved to monitor the process of qurban animal slaughtering in South Jakarta.

We'll educate people about slaughtering house standards and the use of good supporting equipment

Its monitoring includes qurban animal examination in slaughtering houses by sending animal healthcare certificates (SKKH)," expressed South Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-agency Head, Wachyuni, Monday (7/29).

It is also done by recording the number of qurban animal shelters and socializing the standards of qurban animal in accordance with Islamic law.

"It also relates to the age and physical condition of the animal. If it doesn't meet the requirements, it should not be traded," she explained. 

Similar action will also be intensified to slaughtering houses for health or hygienic standards.

"We'll educate people about slaughtering house standards and the use of good supporting equipment," she uttered.
