Panggang Island People Educated to Cultivate Seaweed

Residents living on Karya and Panggang islands, North Thousand Islands were educated how to cultivate seaweed in Thousand Islands Integrated Entrepreneurship Development (PKT) program.

We educate them ranging from cropping, location, care and formation of farmer groups

North Thousand Islands PKT Chairperson, Toba Ristani said that it was participated by 200 people in the Panggang Island Urban Village Child-Friendly Public Space (RPTRA). 

"We educate them ranging from cropping, location, care and formation of farmer groups," he expressed, Monday (7/29).

Karya Island People Receive Three Quintals of Seaweed Seeds

Thousand Islands Regent, Husein Murad hoped that it could advance and develop seaweed cultivation on Panggang Island, thus increasing the welfare and economy of the residents.

"Hopefully it can restore the glory of seaweed from Thousand Islands," he hoped.
