Fikri and Vina are the 2014 Abang and None

The night of the 2014 Abang None (Abnon) competition grand finale has been held last night, Saturday (8/30), at Monas Plaza, Central Jakarta. Came out as the 2014 Abang and None are Zulkifri Arif and Vina Andhani Muliana, who represented Seribu Islands and South Jakarta.

Other winners are Muhammad Agiya and Devi Aristyanti as Abang and None Deputy 1, Muhammad Hakim Haekal and Vania Mariska Putri as Abang and None Deputy 2, Gyaziandri Arif Sumawiyata and Ratu Vasthi Annisa as runner up 1, Ryan Bilardi Alim and Alvia Anjani as runner up 2, and Muhammad Rifky Hasan and Anindya Kirana as runner up 3. In addition, Gyaziandri Arif Sumawiyata and Olga Inviolita are chosen as the Abang and None favourite.

Jakarta Vice Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, who represented Jakarta Gubernur Joko Widodo, hoped that in the future Abnon should be able to be improved for Jakarta. For that, he asked Abnon to have real duties and functions in introducing city's culture and tourism.

"I stressed once again, Abang None Jakarta are not merely escorts in City Hall. If just that, I don't want it. Why would people be quarantined and trained just to welcome foreign guests," he asserted.

According to Basuki, since some time ago, Jakarta Provincial Government has renewed the functions and existence of Abnon. Thus, Abang None must really understand abou Betawi cultures and problems exist in Jakarta, as well as some handling efforts done and will be done by Jakarta Provincial Government. 

"The participants who passed to grand final phase this night also have been given knowledge on Betawi cultures as well as city's characters and potentials. It is best that in the future they know about our meetings, so they would know what Jakarta wants. This is because they are Jakarta's representatives," he uttered.
