PT Transjakarta Continues to Develop Competence of Human Resources

PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) President Director, Agung Wicaksono committed to continue developing the quality and competence of human resources.

According to him, all issues related to the development of the quality of 9,000 employees are a challenge for his company.

"This is our responsibility to create superior human resources. We want them become Transjakarta Cendekia (smart)," he stated, Tuesday (8/20).

Transjakarta Corporation and Public Relation Secretary Division Head, Nadia Diposanjoyo added that some ongoing concrete steps that will continue to be intensified is teaming up with a number of institutions of formal education and granting scholarships to employees.

"This year we have an agreement with Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) Transportation. We want to recruit 750 graduates from BPSDM Transportation this year, which is increased significantly compared to last year's realization of 250 people," he told.

His side has also collaborated in providing scholarships with Paramadina Jakarta University. According to him, this scholarship was expected to build employee morale in achieving future progress.

"The key is education. This cooperation allows all officers and employees to continue their education. This cooperation is open for drivers and field officers to get scholarships," he stated.
