PDAM Jaya's Partner, PT. Aetra Obtains Halal Certification for Clean Water Production

One of PDAM Jaya partners, PT. Aetra has obtained Halal Guarantee System (SJH) certification from Institute for Food, Drug, and Cosmetics Study of the Indonesian Ulema Council (LPPOM-MUI).

PDAM Jaya President Director, Priyatno Bambang Hernowo conveyed, this certification shows commitment from his side and partner company to provide guaranteed clean water to customers.
In order to obtain this halal certification, there are required criteria such as company's written commitment about legal certainty and socializing halal policies to stakeholders.
PDAM Jaya Plans to Provide Water Kiosk FacilityHe also assigned halal management team from each departments, gave them training and education, to have written training procedures both internally and externally at least once every two years, don't use unclean material to manufacture the certified products, and product characteristics shouldn't have a tendency to smell or taste that leads to ingredients that have been declared haram based on MUI fatwa.
"Besides, we need to ensure our clean water production facilities are not cross-contaminated with unclean materials or productions," he explained, Friday (9/6).
Aetra President Director, Edy Hari Sasono stated, halal certification is one of Aetra's efforts to meet customer satisfaction for clean water.
"It is our commitment in fulfilling customer satisfaction," he asserted.
