Similar statement also came out from Papua Provincial DP3AKB Head, Anike Rawar. She was amazed by the services and facilities owned by the Tarakan Hospital. This could be an example for other hospitals in Indonesia.
Especially hospital services in Papua, is still combined in public services in the emergency department. There should be a special place in the hospital for women and children who are victims of violence.
"But the Tarakan RSUD has its services room. We will propose to our leaders that in every hospital there should have a PPT, " she uttered.
As for the information, the Tarakan RSUD already has PPT for dealing with violence against women and children since 2018. There several services opened, such as post-mortem administration room, psychosocial consultation room, children's playroom, sexual examination room, legal counseling room and medicolegal examination room.
