4,047 Animals in South Jakarta Vaccinated

Of 4,047 animals, 685 out of them are dogs, 3,301 are cats, 22 are monkeys and 39 are ferrets

Throughout January until September 10, it has been noted that as many as 4,047 animals transmit rabies have been vaccinated.

"Of 4,047 animals, 685 out of them are dogs, 3,301 are cats, 22 are monkeys and 39 are ferrets," said South Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-agency's Livestock and Health Division Head, Dwi Yani Herawati, Thursday (9/12).

January-April 2019, Central Jakarta KPKP Vaccinated 2,549 Animals

This year, she targets to vaccinate 6,200 animals and it is free of charge.

It aims to protect the South Jakarta area from rabies thus vaccination would be intensified in each year.

"We've done mapping and data collection in areas with lots of pets. In the near future, we will take steps to provide jemput bola or door to door system," he stated.
