January-April 2019, Central Jakarta KPKP Vaccinated 2,549 Animals

Central Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-department has vaccinated 2,549 animals that can transmit rabies (HPR) in in Tanah Abang, Menteng, and Senen Sub-districts during January-April 2019 period.

Those animals are 1,007 dogs, 1,516 cats, 9 monkeys, and 17 ferrets

"Those animals are 1,007 dogs, 1,516 cats, 9 monkeys, and 17 ferrets," mentioned Central Jakarta KPKP Sub-district Head, Bayu Sari Hastuti, Wednesday (5/15).

Ciracas Residents Get Rabies Education

Central Jakarta KPKP is targeting 4,059 animals to be vaccinated this year. Thus her side plans to give another free vaccination to HPR in Johar Baru, Gambir, Sawah Besar, Cempaka Putih, and Kemayoran Sub-districts after Eid.

"Vaccination is given for free by visiting settlements in the area. We have coordinated with local urban village heads first thus they can inform their RTs/RWs about HPR vaccination," she explained.
