Jakarta Governor and 1,000 Orphans Have Fun at Dufan

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan and his wife, Fery Farhati Baswedan went to Dunia Fantasi (Dufan) and Ocean Dream Samudra, Ancol, North Jakarta, together with 1,000 orphans this Saturday (9/14).

Anies wanted to share happiness with those orphans by taking Turangga Rangga and Bianglala (Ferris Wheel) attractions together.

"I tell them to have fun and enjoy all attractions in Dufan and Ocean Dream Samudra," he conveyed.

He also reminded the orphans to be safe, discipline, and maintain cleanliness in the area.

PT. Pembangunan Jaya Ancol President Director, Teuku Sahir Syahali stated, his side divided those orphans in two groups, 500 children in Dufan and 500 children in Ocean Dream Samudra.

"We facilitate them from the venue at Ancol Lagoon Beach, Dufan, Ocean Dream Samudra, and lunch at Rumah Kayu," he informed.

This free trip, he continued , is a form of Ancol's concern towards orphans and communities and his side hopes it can create great memory and experience for those children.

"Hopefully they can be happy today and have a great story to tell to their friends," he added.

One of the orphans from Pondok Al Kholam, East Jakarta, Hasan (9) expressed his happiness to be able to have this free trip. He was excited to enter Dunia Kartun, one of Dufan's attractions.

"I really want to go to Dunia Kartun and ride Halilintar together with my friends," he said happily.
