Used Cooking Oil Alms in Jagakarsa Reaches 30 TongsHis side plans to implement similar program in other sub-districts in South Jakarta since Kampung Tersenyum program currently only runs in Jagakarsa Sub-district.
"We want South Jakartans can encourage the others to collect used cooking oil," he mentioned.
Jagakarsa Sub-district Head, Mundari explained, Kampung Tersenyum program encourages residents to give alms by collecting the used cooking oil.
"This program should be socialized continuously to the residents," he asserted.
Rumah Sosial Kutub Director, Suhito stated, residents usually reuse the used cooking oil several times that is not good for health. Besides they also dispose cooking oil to the channel. If it can't be handled properly, it can endanger the environment.
"Thus we need your cooperation to collect used cooking oil in each RT in a barrel first," he mentioned.
