Rawa Belong Florists Taught About Online Marketing

Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Department cooperates with Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia, to hold online marketing training for florists at Rawa Belong Flower Market, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta.

This training raises theme of 'Value Enhancement for Decorative Plant Merchants' and participated by 30 Rawa Belong florists who are also the participants of Integrated Entrepreneurship Program (PKT).

Jakarta KPKP Department Head, Darjamuni stated, his side through this training wants to teach florists to be proficient and master online marketing through social media.

West Jakarta Records 3,517 Citizens Participated in PKT Training

"We teach them how to take picture of their flower arrangements and flowers then upload it and sell it online through Instagram, Facebook, website, or other platform," he explained, Thursday (10/3).

He conveyed, online marketing is expected to increase purchases since it facilitates customers who want to buy flower or flower arrangements for various events.

"We are currently in digital era, citizens need everything, even flower, in a simple and faster way," he conveyed.

Meanwhile, Jakarta KPKP Department Secretary, Suharini Eliawati expected this training can assist PKT participants to expand their opportunity through online market and current trends.

"We want our coached merchants to be creative and innovative in creating products based on market needs," she asserted.
