“Yes, it (KJP fund) has been disbursed on Friday (9/5) and directly transferred to students’ accounts. After verification process, only 576,000 students get the fund from 579,089 students proposed,” stated Head of Jakarta Education Department, Lasro Marbun, Monday (9/8).
According to Marbun, the disbursement of KJP fund was delayed because of call from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on grant fund disbursement during presidential election process. All parties were asked not to disburse grant fund during that period.

The amount of KJP fund received by students is different according to their level. In details, Rp 180,000 per month for SD/Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) student, Rp 210,000 per month for SMP/Madrasah Tsanawiyah (Mts) student, and Rp 240,000 per month for SMA/SMK/Madrasah Aliyah (MA) student. They will receive the KJP fund once in every three months.
