19 Pump Houses in North Jakarta Ready to Face Rainy Season

The North Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency Head Adrian Mata Maulana ensures that 19 pump houses with a total power of 38 stationary pumps are ready to operate and anticipate the impact of the rainy season.

Of 38 pump machines, 2 out of them are under repair, with details one unit of machine with a capacity of 2,000 liters per second at the Pinang Pump House, Koja and one unit of machine with a capacity of 500 liters per second at the Kapuk 3 Pump House.

19 Pumps Alerted in Central Jakarta to Anticipate Inundation

"Nevertheless these machines are ready to operate at the peak of the rainy season. They are only relatively mildly damaged and only need valve replacement," he explained.

As for mobile and portable pumps, there are certainly five machines in good condition. While the other six suffered mild damage and are in maintenance process.

"In total we have 11 units of mobile and portable pumps with a capacity of 100-400 liters per second. All of them are functioning normally, despite there are several pumps under maintenance," he stated.
