East Jakarta Environment to Produce More Compost

East Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-department continues to increase compost production.

Every month, farmers from Cikeas, Bogor, West Java asked us to supply one ton of compost for their farm

East Jakarta LH Sub-department's Cleanliness and Hazardous Waste and Toxic Management Section Head, Wahyudi Rudianto stated, his side increases his composts production because he receives orders monthly from farmers in Cikeas, Bogor, West Java.

"Every month, farmers from Cikeas, Bogor, West Java asked us to supply one ton of compost for their farm," he stated, Tuesday (10/15).

Forestry Agency to Have Special Facilities for Composting

His side currently only can produce 600 kilograms of compost. But his side is optimist and will work hard to fulfill the farmer's demand.

His side produces 200 three-kilogram packaging bags in compost house located at East Jakarta LH Sub-department Office on Jalan Raya Pinang Ranti, Makasar. Price for one package is Rp 5,000.

"In order to meet the target, we instruct every LH units in 10 sub-district to improve their compost productions and expand it," he asserted.
