Fery Farhati Expresses Her Appreciation for Central Jakarta Batik

Jakarta Regional National Crafts Council (Dekranasda) Head, Fery Farhati appreciates batik craftsmen for their work in designing Central Jakarta batik.

We will continue to facilitate entrepreneurs in fashion and handicraft sectors

According to plan, that batik will be used for Central Jakarta government civil apparatuses (ASN)'s uniform.

That batik which is dominated with orange color, she assessed, needs to be promoted vigorously since it can be the new icon of Central Jakarta.

"More people who are interested in this batik can bring more positive impacts to our economy, especially for batik craftsmen," she said while attending Dekranasda Product Exhibition and Launching Central Jakarta Administrative City Batik at Thamrin City, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, Thursday (10/24).

She expected craft industry in Central Jakarta can develop well and give high contribution in improving community welfare.

"We will continue to facilitate entrepreneurs in fashion and handicraft sectors to participate in both local, national, and international exhibitions," she asserted.

She mentioned, this event is held for the first time by Central Jakarta Dekranasda at Thamrin City.

"Hopefully, more handicrafts produced in Jakarta can be known widely through this event," she expressed.

Through handicraft, she assessed, human cultures and characteristic can be shown through the products made. Thus, Jakarta Dekranasda is committed to continue providing handicraft training for citizens.

"I think products displayed in this event have a great quality. Moreover, it has also won the competition that we hold," she conveyed.

Meanwhile, Central Jakarta Dekranasda Chief Coordinator, Sintia Ayu Ningrum stated, there are 104 craftsmen coached by Dekranasda in Central Jakarta.

"22 craftsmen who have been curated are participating in this event," she added.

For information, Dekranasda Product Exhibition is also enlivened with fashion show which is presented by Central Jakarta ASN as the model. This event is also attended by Jakarta Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Chairperson, Rusmiyati Saefullah; Central Jakarta Mayor, Bayu Meghantara; and Central Jakarta Vice Mayor, Irwandi.
