Jokowi Sent Resignation Letter to DPRD

I'd received the letter this morning

Jakarta Governor, Jokowi 'Jokowi' Widodo acknowledged that he had sent a resignation letter as Jakarta Governor to the Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD).

According to him, the resignation letter has been submitted to legislative ranks since last week and will be discussed after the council completion is completed. "A week ago, but I already sent the letter. It can be ratified if the council completion is complete," said Jokowi, at City Hall, Wednesday (9/10).

According to the rules, the resignation letter should be submitted to Jakarta DPRD before he was inaugurated as Indonesian President period 2014-2019 on October 20. "My current status is still Jakarta Governor," he stated.

Separately, Chairman of Jakarta DPRD from PDIP Fraction, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi justified if the letter was received by legislative ranks. "I'd received the letter this morning," he told.

Jokowi disclosed such letter would be ratified after the council completion is complete and DPRD definitive leader has been inducted officially.

"The initial process is commission formation. From that, it will be submitted to plenary session, Home Affairs Ministry, and then continued to his resignation," he explained.
