Commission B Agrees to Increase Budget for Optimal SME Marketing

The Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD)'s Commission B agreed to increase the budget for increasing SME marketing by Rp 5 billion proposed by the Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises Agency (KUMKMP), on Wednesday (10/30).

They (SME) are the pulse of the people's economy

According to Abdul Aziz, Chairman of Commission B, the agency becomes the spearhead for developing SMEs to be more advanced.

"They (SME) are the pulse of the people's economy. We want the executive to work harder and seriously in motivating them," he expressed, at Jakarta Council Building.

Commission B Continues to Support KUKMP in Promoting UKM

He assessed that the addition of the coaching program was also to unite the vision between the executive and the legislative. Thus, both are able to create the same expectations related to entrepreneurship empowerment.

"The quality and quantity must be increased, which aims to move the economy. We want Jakarta to have a strong SME," he explained.

Jakarta KUKMP Agency Head Adi Ariantara, felt grateful for the council's great attention to SMEs in Jakarta.

"Through additional Rp 5 billion, Rp 250 million will be allocated to establish partnerships between SMEs and the private markets," he uttered.

As for the information, the previous 2020 KUA-PPAS was Rp 119 billion. After the addition, the amount increased by Rp 124 billion.
