Process of Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPAL) construction at RT 01/01 Harapan Island Urban Island, North Thousand Islands has reached 40 percent.

Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-department Head, Mustajab conveyed, this IPAL can accommodate domestic wastewater from two RWs in Harapan Island with total channel capacity to reach 500 houses.

Tanjung Duren Locals Collaborate with Abdi Rakyat to Develop IPALHarapan Island Urban Village Secretary, Irfan Damanhuri explained, IPAL will be used to manage domestic wastewater in the region thus it could reduce groundwater and sea water pollution.
"If it is managed properly, wastewater that flows into the sea is already clean thus it doesn't pollute the environment," he explained.
