Park in Front of PGC Mall Occupied by Street Vendors

How ironic, a park that is also used as a green belt in front of the mall of Cililitan Wholesale Center (PGC) at RT 02/15, Cililitan Urban Village, Kramatjati, East Jakarta, has now become a business place by street vendors. Even, some trees and plants are severely damaged, as well as many iron fences around the park missing.

As quoted by beritajakarta.com, the park is strewn with street vendors and carts belong to scavenger, causing parks looks dirty and slum.

"2 years ago, the park looks good and tidy, but now its condition has been damaged. We hope related unit can immediately do repair," hoped Nasir (30), a citizen of Cililitan, Thursday (9/11).

Damaged Parks in C. Jakarta Repaired

Vice Head of Cililitan Urban Village, Reno Maywarni stated that his side has known the park condition in front of the mall of Cililitan Wholesale Center (PGC). "We actually already do raid against street vendors and socialization, but it was ignored," he told.

While, Head of East Jakarta Parks Sub-Department, Suzie Marzitawati could not be contacted via cell phone when being confirmed on this matter.
