As many as 20 personnel of Matraman Sub-district are cleaning up the connecting channel on Jalan Pramuka Raya, Utan Kayu Selatan Urban Village, on Tuesday (11/5).

We do this to minimize inundation and flooding

Matraman Sub-district Head Andriansyah said cleaning is carried out up to 1.5 meters with 1 meter width in order to accommodate water in large quantities and to smoothen water flow.

"We do this to minimize inundation and flooding," he expressed.

It is not only focused on protocol roads but also neighborhood roads and settlements.

Matraman Sub-district Water Resources Executing Unit Officer Agus added the work has been carried out since last week. "And it is targeted to be complete in a month," he closed.
