Commission B - Disparbud Discusses Thousand Islands Tourism Sector

We discuss the proposed tourism promotion activities again and hopefully they will be accepted during the discussion in the budget body

The Jakarta DPRD's commission B gives serious attention to several tourism promotion activities, especially in Thousand Islands in the 2020 APBD.

According to Abdul Azis, Chairman of the Commission B, the pressing tourism promotion activities in the islands needs to be a concern, as it will give an impact on the citizens' economy.

Commission B Reviews Budget Adjustments Proposed by Disparbud

"Tourism sector is one of the economic backers of the Thousand Islands citizens. That's why we are worried that pressing can reduce tourist visits," he expressed, Thursday (11/7).

Therefore his party will elaborate promotional activities proposed by the Tourism and Culture Agency (Disparbud) in the 2020 budget priorities and preliminary threshold (KUA-PPAS).

"We discuss the proposed tourism promotion activities again and hopefully they will be accepted during the discussion in the budget body," he expressed.

His party has asked the agency to have a calculation between the allocations of the promotional budget issued by the increase in tourists each year.

Similar statement also comes out from another member Maruarar Siahaan.

As for the information, the Disparbud has deleted several tourism promotion activities for next year in the context of budget efficiency.
