KBT Bridge in Durensawit Sliding

The condition of East Flood Canal (KBT) Bridge, Durensawit, East Jakarta, is very concerning. Its south side end is sliding and prone to collapse. If such a thing neglected, it would endanger the passersby.

We will immediately repair the bridge by putting river stones and casting to prevent another slide

Based on beritajakarta.com observations, the part that is sliding is four meters long. Moreover, the bridge’s hook concrete as thick as 20 centimeters is also detached. No wonder the locals put a signboard saying ‘Watch Out for Slide’ in the location.

According to Head of Durensawit Sub-District, Abu Bakar, the slide happened on Friday (9/12). For that, his party coordinated with KBT Technical Implementation Unit (UPT).

“We have reported it. Two more days, we’ll send an official letter so the problem would be followed up immediately,” he stated, Saturday (9/13).

Responding on this matter, Head of KBT UP Supervision and Control Section, Mustajab, said that his party has received the report on the condition of KBT Bridge. In the nearest future, the sliding bridge will be repaired.

“We will immediately repair the bridge by putting river stones and casting to prevent another slide. We also ask the residents and KBT visitors not to approach the location to prevent unwanted things,” he uttered.
