Cadgers Along KBT Controlled

As many as 150 joint personnel of Satpol PP, military, police, and East Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department controlled the cadgers along inspection road and East Flood Canal (KBT) bank starting from Cipinang Besar Selatan Bridge, Jatinegara, until Pondok Kopi Sluice, Duren Sawit.

This activity will be carried out until Thursday (6/19). If on Friday (6/20) those cadgers still selling, we will control them directly

The control runs smooth without any resistance from the cadgers since the officers did their job with persuasive ways by prioritizing communication and socialization.

Sellers in Jaya Cibubur Market Complained on Cadgers Outside

“ This activity will be carried out until Thursday (6/19). If on Friday (6/20) those cadgers still selling, we will control them directly ,” stated Head of Duren Sawit Sub-District, Abu Bakar, Tuesday (6/17).

Meanwhile, Slamet (35), a clothes seller, admitted that he is confused when asked not to sell again in KBT area. He told that approaching Ramadhan and Eid ul Fitr, his family’s needs will increase, and not to mention the money needed for hometown journey.

“We ask the government to give us the opportunity to get some money. Besides, fasting month and Eid ul Fitr are approaching, our needs would definitely increase. We only depend getting income from selling,” he begged.
