Kembangan KPKP Unit Head, Ellita Teresia explained, her side is routinely giving rabies vaccine to pets and animals that can transmit rabies in six urban villages. It is done to maintain Jakarta's status as the city free from rabies since 2004.

"This year, our target is to vaccine 555 animals, but we exceed the target by vaccinating 771 animals. There are 222 dogs, 534 cats, 12 civets, and 3 monkeys," she informed, Monday (11/18).

Pet Owners Be Grateful for Free Rabies Vaccination

Vaccine, she continued, is given by visiting the urban village or providing service in certain spot. Before vaccinating the animals, her side usually informs the urban village heads through notification letter to tell their residents who have pets to get free vaccination.

"This month, we hold vaccination in Meruya Selatan Urban Village," she conveyed.
