109 Houses in Palmerah Demolished Tomorrow

As many as 109 houses along the bank of Grogol River, Palmerah Urban Village, Palmerah Sub-District, West Jakarta, are going to be demolished tomorrow, Tuesday (9/16). The demolition is conducted to continue the construction of inspection road in that area.

The total of buildings to be demolished is 109. Those buildings are spread in four RWs, namely RW 02, 03, 07, and 08 Palmerah

“The total of buildings to be demolished is 109. Those buildings are spread in four RWs, namely RW 02, 03, 07, and 08 Palmerah,” stated Head of Palmerah Sub-District, Agus Triono, Monday (9/15).

According to Triono, the construction of inspection road along Grogol riverbank is still ongoing right now. The part of the road which has been finished concreted is 138.50 meters long, while the remaining 139.9 meters just finished half of it.

Construction of Inspection Road at Mookevart River Conducted by 4 Stages

The early phase of Jalan Inspeksi Kali Grogol construction is as long as 1,000 meters, starting from Hankam 1 Pump until Jalan Palmerah Raya or Pasar Pisang, and as wide as 7.5 meters plus 0.5 meter for cast separator which concrete’s thickness is 25 centimeters.

Based on beritajakarta.com observations, at this time some residents have demolished their buildings themselves. However, some others who rejected the demolition plan are stretching banners and demanding for compensation.
