City Secretary Gives Briefing, Civil Servants Play Cell Phone

Sssttt, don't be noisy

A number of civil servants serving under Jakarta Provincial Government are absorbed in conversation and play cell phone, when City Secretary, Saefullah gave a briefing related to City Budget (APBD) to the Regional Working Units (SKPD), in Pola room on 2nd floor, Block G of City Hall Building, Monday (9/15).

The room provided was not able to accommodate the invitations, causing many civil servants who came late did not get a place inside. The committee also provides an outdoor bench. Unfortunately, there is no loudspeakers thus the Saefullah's sound could not be heard outside the room.

Other civil servants have repeatedly signaled to participants outside the room to remain silent. But not long after, they returned to make conversation without listening the briefing. "Sssttt, don't be noisy," said some civil servants who were near the door.

Due to lack of bench, several employees prefer to chat near the stairs. "I don't get the bench inside due to the room is full," said one civil servant.

Such briefing discussed the inventory cost of the 2015 APBD, e-Budgeting implementation, organizational structuring and echelon arrangement, absorption of 2014 budget and planning, as well as 2015 priority program.

On that occasion, Saefullah was accompanied by Head of Financial Management Agency (BPKD) Endang Widjajanti, Head of Regional Development Planning Board (Bappeda) Andi Baso Mappapoleonro, Head of Regional Employment Agency (BKD) I Made KarmaYoga, and Chief of City Inspectorate Mangatas Franky.
