All Flats in Jakarta Will Have Gas Pipeline Soon

Every flat in Jakarta must have a gas pipeline. And we have instructed the Jakarta Industry and Energy Department to install it

The city administration is going to install gas pipelines for all flats in the capital. Even, Jakarta Industry and Energy Department was already instructed to manage its construction soon.

"Every flat in Jakarta must have a gas pipeline. And we have instructed the Jakarta Industry and Energy Department to install it," expressed Jakarta Vice Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama, Monday (9/15).

Gas Pipe Leaks, MRT Construction Works Stalled

Basuki disclosed that gas pipeline installation aims to facilitate poor households in Jakarta. If the gas is distributed through pipes, it will decrease production cost, thus its selling price can also be cheaper.

"If flat residents use pipe, they no longer use gas tube due to expensive price," he told.

He uttered that LPG gas price keeps creeping up, because tube used by people all this time is still the imported goods.

"So, residents can save even more if they use gas pipeline," stated former Regent of East Belitung.
