App-Based BPHTB Services Start to Be Implemented in North Jakarta

The building and land acquisition tax (BPHTB) in North Jakarta began implementing an e-BPHTB app-based system.

This app was actually already available, but we just launched it at the end of November

Through e-BPHTB, taxpayers can file ownership transfer for the tax notification letter (SPPT) and urban and rural land and building tax (PBB-P2) by online.

Jakarta Tax and Levy Board (BPRD)'s Counseling and Information Services Unit Head Mulyo stated the app that can be accessed through the website at http://ebphtb.jakarta.go.id is an extension of the function of online taxes. The residents, developers, PPAT or others can use the user and password that has been registered at the Jakarta BPRD office.

"Each BPRD in each region will socialize. This app was actually already available, but we just launched it at the end of November," he expressed, Wednesday (12/4).

He explained legal protection underlying the e-BPHTB online tax service is the bylaw number 6/2010 on General Provisions for Regional Taxes, number 18/2010 on Fees for Acquisition of Land and Building Rights, as well as BPRD Head's Circular Letter number SE/4/2018 on Procedures for Collecting BPHTB and Mutations of PBB-P2 through Online System.

"It has been applied in North Jakarta since yesterday," he continued.

North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Tax and Levy Sub-agency Head Yati Rochyati explained its socialization has been ongoing simultaneously in Jakarta area by presenting a number of speakers.

"Hopefully the socialization that has been held can provide benefits and encourage taxpayers to pay taxes on time," he stated.
