DRD - Health Department Holds Talk Show About Tuberculosis

The Jakarta Regional Research Council (DRD) together with Health Department held a talk show about Government and Citizens Preparations Toward Jakarta Free from Tuberculosis (TBC) 2020 on the 2nd floor of Block F Building, Jakarta City Hall, on Thursday (12/5).

We need to find people with TBC and treat them until recovered. Its treatment is free

Jakarta DRD's Community Welfare Commission Member, Pratiwi Pujilestari Sudarmono admitted her side fully supported the Jakarta Provincial Government's efforts in to be free from TBC in 2030.

"To realize these efforts, all sides must collaborate in each other," he stated.

W. Jakarta Commemorates World TBC Day

Jakarta Health Department's Communicable Diseases, Vector Infection and Zoonotics Section Head, Murni Luciana explained his side had plans to overcome TBC. One of them was to collaborate with various sides in order to educate people about TBC.

"We collaborate with all sectors and move together based on our roles and tasks," she conveyed.

According to her, there were 36.617 TBC patients in 2018. But the number decreased by 27,959 in January-September 2019.

"We need to find people with TBC and treat them until recovered. Its treatment is free," she asserted.
