As many as 40 joint personnel carried out food inspection at Palmeriam Market and Pramuka Market, Matraman, East Jakarta.
Food inspection is done to prevent circulation of food with hazardous substances
This inspection was led by Matraman Sub-district Head, Ardiansyah together with joint personnel from urban villages, sub-district, KPKP Sub-department, Health Sub-department, KUKMP Sub-department, Satpol PP, Sub-district Community Health Center (Puskesmas), Pasar Jaya, and TNI/Polri.
He informed, joint personnel took several food samples from random merchants in both markets to do laboratory testing on the location. It was done to check whether those foods contain of hazardous substances or not.
KPKP Intensifies Food Inspection in Markets"Food inspection is done to prevent circulation of food with hazardous substances as well as to monitor staple food prices in those markets," he explained, Thursday (12/19).
The result, he stated, there is no increase in staple food prices in both markets ahead of Christmas and New Year holiday.
Moreover, his side also carried out laboratory testing towards vegetables, livestock and fishery products at Rawamangun Market.
"If it contains of hazardous substances, we will train the merchants," he asserted.
