Six Sub-districts in North Jakarta Hold Gerebek Sampah

Keep the spirit and be a benefit for all

The North Jakarta administration along with citizens living in six RWs from six urban villages and sub-districts is conducting gerebek sampah (clean-up action).

Besides cleaning water channels, they also conduct arrangement and other activities in preparation for the peak of the rainy season.

Those six RWs are RW 01 Pegangsaan Dua Urban Village (Kelapa Gading Sub-district), RW 07 Lagoa Urban Village (Koja Sub-district), RW 06 Semper Barat Urban Village (Cilincing Sub-district), RW 02 Papanggo Urban Village (Tanjung Priok Sub-district), RW 12 Pademangan Barat Urban Village (Pademangan Sub-district) and RW 01 Kapuk Muara Urban Village (Penjaringan Sub-district).

North Jakarta Mayor Sigit Wijatmoko revealed it is expected to trigger all parties to care about the quality of the environment.

"The message to be conveyed is that people see their environment thus it can arouse enthusiasm and awareness to protect the environment," he uttered, Sunday (12/22).

He added the quality of the environmental impact would return to each of us. "Keep the spirit and be a benefit for all," he stated.
