Ahead of Christmas and New Year, the Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Agency along with the Ministry of Agriculture's Food Security Agency has opened cheap markets in 10 locations spread across five cities of Jakarta.
"We sell at lower prices than market prices, as the food sold is supplied directly from farmer groups (Gapoktan)," expressed Jakarta KPKP Agency Head, Darjamuni, Monday (12/23).

Those ten locations are the Amanah RPTRA (North Jakarta), Melati RPTRA (Central Jakarta), Budi Mulia RPTRA (North Jakarta), Angke Tambora Rusunawa (West Jakarta), Daan Mogot Rusunawa (West Jakarta), Gandaria Selatan Urban Village (South Jakarta), Tengah Urban Village (East Jakarta), Penggilingan Urban Village (East Jakarta), Johar Baru Urban Village (Central Jakarta) and Tebet Sub-district (South Jakarta).
"This is our effort to provide guarantees to the public to get access to cheap and quality food ahead of Christmas and New Year," he stated.
