According to him, his side also applies traffic engineering regarding CFN implementation in several roads. Road closure will be conducted graduately starts from 14:00 on several roads from Harmoni to Bundaran Senayan.
"Tomorrow, we will close Jalan Majapahit, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Jalan MH Thamrin, and Jalan Sudirman," he said.
Related to this arrangement, his side will deploy 600 personnel to cooperate with police and Jakarta Satpol PP.
"I suggest people who want to celebrate 2020 New Year in Jakarta to use public transportation to the event locations," he stated.
For information, Dishub will close Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan from 4 PM to 11PM since Collective Wedding will be held on Jakarta City Hall's Yard. Visitors will be directed to park their vehicles on southeast gate of Monas (near Gambir).
Starts from 2 PM, Dishub will Jl. MH. Thamrin and Jl. Jend. Sudirman to sterilize the road from motor vehicles for New Year events preparation. While from 5 PM until 1 AM on January 1st, road closure will be applied from North to South, starts from Harmony intersection until Bundaran Senayan and the reverse direction.
Furthermore, his side will also totally close the road from east to west and the reverse direction, on the intersection of Jl. Budi Kemuliaan – Jl. Medan Merdeka Selatan, Simpang Jl. Kebon Sirih – Jl. M.H Thamrin, Simpang Jl. Wahid Hasyim – Jl. M.H Thamrin, and Bundaraan HI from 8 PM until 1 AM on January 1st.
Road closure will be also applied in several spots: - Jl. Majapahit sisi Timur (Harmoni Intersection) - Jl. Medan Merdeka Utara (in front of Pertamina Building) - Jl. Veteran 3 - Jl. Medan Merdeka Barat (West and East sides) - Jl. Medan Merdeka Selatan (North and South sides) - Jl. Kebon Sirih (Jl. Agus Salim Intersection and Jl.Fachrudin/Milenium Intersection) - Jl. KH. Wahid Hasyim (Sabang Intersection and Metro Tanah Abang Intersection).
Next, Jl. Sunda - Simpang Jl. Imam Bonjol (from Bundaran Hotel Indonesia direction and Tosari TCT Building) - Landmark turns left to Jl. Jend. Sudirman - Jl. Setiabudi Raya turns left to Jl. Jend. Sudirman - Jl. Prof. Dr. Satrio turns left to Jl. Jend. Sudirman (Sampoerna) - Jl. Masjid turns left to Jl. Jend. Sudirman - Jl. Garnisun (Atmajaya) and the slow lane of Semanggi underpass - Jl. Museum will be steril from motor vehicles, bicycles, delman, and merchant's carts during the road closure, except the officers.
Jakarta Dishub also prepares traffic engineering in several roads: First, Traffic Engineering from North – South. Vehicles from Harmoni which head to South will be directed to go through Jl. Juanda - Lap. Banteng - Jl. Pejambon - Jl. Ridwan Rais - Tugu Tani - Jl. Samratulangi - Jl. Hos Cokroaminoto dan so on. Second, traffic engineering from south to north from Jl. Sisingamaraja, Jl. Pattimura and Jl. Asia Afrika. Road users who want to go to the north, will be directed to go through Jl. Pakubuwono 6 - Jl. Hang Lekir 2 - Jl. Asia Afrika - Jl. Gerbang Pemuda - Jl. Jend. Gatot Subroto - Jl. S. Parman - Jl. Tomang Raya - and so on.
Besides, Transjakarta Buses in Corridor 1 (Blok M-Kota) and Corridor 2 (Pulogadung-Harmoni) routes will remain serve the customers. Route diversion would be done based on the traffic situation.
