Harapan Island Urban Village of North Thousand Islands tests Sea Water Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) installation which construction has been completed by the end of December 2019.

Harapan Island Urban Village Head, Adi Apandi explained, this SWRO has capacity 5 liters per second. It will be used to produce clean water for 462 families who live in Harapan Island and Kelapa Island Urban Villages, North Thousand Islands.
"Currently we are still testing the water in laboratory and samples are also taken by relevant agencies," he conveyed, Friday (1/3).
Preventing Stunting, Regency Improves Sanitation and Clean Water UsageAccording to him, if the trial and laboratory testing phase show that it is ready to use and passes the quality standard, then we will distribute it to the residents.
"We hope it could meet water needs in Harapan Island thus they don't use ground water anymore," he said.
