Preventing Stunting, Regency Improves Sanitation and Clean Water Usage

Thousand Islands Regency continues to improve sanitation development and clean water usage in Thousand Island as the solution in handling and preventing stunting.

These actions are done as our effort to improve resident's sanitation development and clean water usage

Thousand Islands Regent, Husein Murad conveyed, his side held coordination meeting for technical preparation plan and integrated convergence action at Mitra Praja Office, North Jakarta.

This meeting reviewed about 8 actions, consist of situation analysis, activity planning, stunting discussion, regent's regulation about urban village's roles, cadres coaching, data management system, measurement, stunting data publication, and work review.

"These actions are done as our effort to improve resident's sanitation development and clean water usage," he mentioned, Thursday (11/21).

He assessed, clean water facility development in inhabitant islands should be intensify by the Jakarta Government thus it can handle citizen's problem in accessing clean water and sanitation.

"Stunting issue is inseparable from problems of nutrition, sanitation and clean water. Thus with SWRO (Sea Water Reverse Osmosis) development, clean water can be easily to be accessed and stunting can be prevented," he asserted.
