“Those (old) dump trucks are still (in) good (condition) for short range trips. Since we’re getting good dump trucks, we’ll grant the bad ones. Just pick whatever you like, they are sold for cheap price,” stated Jakarta Vice Governor Basuki ‘Ahok’ T Purnama after receiving 14 new dump trucks donated by Indonesian Petroleum Association, at City Hall, Thursday (9/18).
Hearing that, Deputy Head of Jakarta Cleanliness Department, Isnawa Adji, supports Basuki’s plan.

According to Adji, this year Jakarta Cleanliness Department has bought 149 new dump trucks and received 74 dump trucks from various parties.
“Don’t let there are many good dump trucks, but the bad ones are also a lot. Mr. Ahok instructed that the bad ones are going to be granted to surrounding administrations like Bekasi. So, bad fleets will be reduced and replaced with new ones,” he uttered.
