PT. FSTJ President Director, Arief Prasetyo Adi explained, rice planting which is done together is not only to supply rice stock in Jakarta, but his side also wants to ensure the farmers that FSTJ will buy their rice at a good price.

"We are planting four rice varieties; IR 64 and Mentik Wangi are planted in 250 hectares land each, then Muncul variety in 400 hectares land, and Bawor 9 variety in 100 hectares land," he stated.
His side symbolically planted Bawor 9 variety rice together with the farmers on Tuesday (1/7) in 5 hectares land.
"There are 3,415 farmers who are involved in this planting rice together," he added.
Malai Padi Indramayu Cooperative Head, Eeng conveyed, farmers are very enthusiastic to plant rice because FSTJ promised to buy the rice yields.
According to him, rice planting cooperation is a good cooperation because it increases farmers' welfare through market guarantees for agricultural products they produce.
"It is the first time for those farmers, there is a party who guarantee the harvest they produce," he closed.
