City Collaborates to Establish PT Moda Integrasi Transportasi Jabodetabek

The city-owned operator PT MRT Jakarta collaborates with the BUMN and Transportation ministries through PT KAI signed MoU to establish the PT Moda Integrasi Transportasi Jabodetabek.
It is done as a follow-up to the Head of Agreement that had been carried out previously between PT KAI and PT MRT Jakarta to realize the integration of rail-based transportation management in the Greater Jakarta area.

It continued with Head of Agreement on December and now we witness stakeholder to mark the birth of a CV that we named PT Moda Integrasi Transportasi Jabodetabek," expressed Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan in his speech at the BUMN Ministry Office, Friday (1/10), as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.
The governor hopes that public transportation as a world-class transportation that has advantages in terms of economics and efficiency of budget subsidies. Thereby, its management control integrated with BUMD and BUMN in the city has become a new chapter in collaboration in providing the best mobility services for the community.
"This CV will be used to do the planning, implementation of this transportation integration. By so it will control the Indonesia commuter line, Rail Link and 72 stations in Greater Jakarta. So this will be integrated," he explained.
His party also stressed that the integration of transportation modes will be executed with other public transports such as bus and pedestrian. He hoped, it would cover governance, routes and ticket cards used by the community.
In addition, the city together with PT KAI and PT MRT Jakarta also made an integrated station arrangement agreement that started with four pilot stations, namely Sudirman, Senen, Juanda and Tanah Abang. They are expected to create the acceleration of integration between modes of transportation in a short time.
"Those four stations will be a pilot and can finish in March. Alhamdulillah we can make a big impact but its implication, people will feel the changes in their daily cycles," he stated.
As for the information, the agreement signing was also attended by BUMN Minister Erick Thohir; Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi; BUMN Vice Minister Kartika Wirjoatmodjo; PT MRT Jakarta President Director William Sabandar; and PT KAI President Director Edi Sukmono.
