Anies Monitors Puring Park's New Face

Each park has different design, we want them to have their own uniqueness

Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, monitored the newly revitalized Puring Park and its supporting facilities, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. Monday (1/20). On that occasion, there was also Jakarta Park and Urban Forest Agency Head Suzi Marsitawati.

The governor said there were 50 urban parks in the capital that have been revitalized and one of them is Puring Park. This park is a type of large-scale park (Grande Park), which was revitalized on October 2019.

Those parks would be a park and green open space that is child/family friendly, as well as a means of citizen interaction that can be accessed by anyone including disabled people.

"In the afternoon, many children and families play here. We are happy, as many parks have been renovated this year. Each park has different design, we want them to have their own uniqueness," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

He went to say that most visitors came from various regions. "I even met citizens from Bangka, coming here specifically as I heard that the Puring Park is good," he explained.

Each park has different characteristics, so the design is tailored to its characteristics. Its development i s very attentive to the green and blue networks as a connector and amplifier of the ecological axis.

"We take care of the entire ecosystem thus the park can still hold water, it remains green, it stays calm, and children can freely play," he stated.

As for the information, the type of Grande Park, such as Puring Park, emphasizes the revitalization of large-scale parks with a strategic location in the middle of the city, and maintains the function of land as a place for water retention.

The concept is Fun Transit Park, which is a convenient transit place for pedestrians as it is integrated with public transportation and supports the ecological concept (green open space), children's playground and can be accessed by anyone, including disabled people.

Therefore the city continues to present a variety of urban parks in Jakarta area. Massive public infrastructure development that has been realized in the past two years proves that the city is fully committed to presenting a comfortable Public Third Room for its citizens that is by involving the entire community, in accordance with the concept of City 4.0 (Government as a collaborator).
