The Jakarta Provincial Government together with the Jakarta Indonesian Indigenous Entrepreneurs Association (HIPPI) and the Rekso Group through the Ronald McDonald's House Charities Foundation (RMHC), distributed 5,000 school supplies for students affected by floods.
The aid was symbolically handed over by City Secretary Saefullah to Maira Tri Gustianty from SDN Gunung Sahari Utara 01 Pagi (Central Jakarta); Anasya Firliana Putri, a student of SDN Cilincing 01 Pagi (North Jakarta); Izzagandit Pratama, a student of SDN Rawa Buaya 03 Pagi (West Jakarta); Muhammad Zidane Ramadan, a student of SMPN 29 (South Jakarta); and Muhammad Putra Pratama, a student of SDN Kebon Manggis 01 Pagi (East Jakarta).
6,000 Meals Distributed to Flood Victims in South JakartaOn the same occasion, similar aid in the form of medicines and vitamins was also distributed to the needy through Jakarta Health Agency Head Weningtyas Purnomo Rini.
"The aid must reach the needy," said the City Secretary, on the yard of Jakarta City Hall, Friday (1/24).
He appreciated the care of Jakarta HIPPI and RMHC, which also participated in providing aid after the flood.
"Hopefully it will be a good deed and we pray that Jakarta will remain safe, comfortable, advanced and happy for its people," he hoped.
While, Jakarta HIPPI Chairman Sarman Simanjorang expressed that it was a form of commitment from the business community at the invitation and call of the Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan to collaborate and be responsive in helping flood victims.
"I hope this aid is helpful and useful. We fully support the entire city's program in dealing with floods," he closed.
