Community Reading Park Activation will Be Held in 55 Locations This Year

This year, Jakarta Library and Archive Department (Dispusip) holds Community Reading Park (TBM) Activation in 55 locations.

Each municipality has 10 TBMs and 5 TBMs in Thousand Islands Regency

Jakarta Dispusip Head, Wahyu Haryadi conveyed, TBM Activation is part of Regional Strategic Activities (KSD) that supports activities in all TBMs in Jakarta.

"We will hold TBM Activation event in order to improve facilities, books, or events that support reading culture in Jakarta. Each municipality has 10 TBMs and 5 TBMs in Thousand Islands Regency," he informed, Tuesday (2/4).

In order to hold TBM Activation, his side cooperates with many sides from Regional Apparatuses Organizations (OPD)s, Regional-Owned Enterprises, private companies, communities, and the locals for their supports in cultivating the reading habit in Jakarta.

"There are many TBMs which are initiated or held independently by literacy activist community. Thus we want to optimize this effort," he added.

According to him, his side will re-recruit the former volunteers to take a part in TBM Activation.

"We will also add volunteers and continue to hold collaborative events to form a movement to improve reading habit in Jakarta," he conveyed.
