Bintang Beach, New Tourism Icon on Pari Island

The Bintang Beach with 150-meter-long white sand, has now become one of the new tourism icons of Pari Island, in South Thousand Islands Sub-district.

We named Bintang Beach, as there are still many sea stars of various types found on this beach

The beach itself is completed with various supporting tourism facilities, starting from gazebo, reading park, camping and fun games area, as well as has a location that is quite clean and comfortable.

"We named Bintang Beach, as there are still many sea stars of various types found on this beach," expressed Bintang Beach Manager, Arif Pujianto, Monday (10/14).

Tourists who visit usually take a selfie and enjoy the exoticism of the beauty of the beach with scattered sea stars.

"To enjoy the beach, every visitor will be charged Rp 5,000 per person for cleanliness and maintenance of tourist location facilities, as this location is managed by locals independently," he stressed.

Pari Island Urban Village Head Sarjono added the many new tourist spots developed by locals could increase tourist visits to Pari Island.

It also impacts on the level of homestay occupancy and the economy of locals.

"Every weekend, visitors who come can reach 2,476 people," he closed.
